Shah Rukh Khan, the King of Bollywood and co-owner of the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) went on social media to congratulate his team following their six wickets win over the hosts Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on Saturday (28 April).

KKR had a winning start in the IPL 2018 under new skipper Dinesh Karthik, but they have lost four matches out of 8 matches so far in the tournament. However, KKR managed to see themselves at the top five teams in the IPL 2018 points table, standing at fourth spot with 8 points.

Meanwhile, the KKR co-owner attended his team’s IPL 2018 campaign opener along with his daughter Suhana and son AbRam against the RCB, though since then he was not seen at the stadium to cheer his team due to his busy schedule, but King Khan has been keeping close eyes to the mega T20 event.

He wrote on his official Twitter handle, “Good team effort @KKRiders Happy to c @lynny50 come into runs. Well done @DineshKarthik to go with the unchanged team. Robbie & Russel awesome.”

On Saturday (29 April), Andre Russell played a crucial role in the bowling department for the KKR in the absence of Mitchell Starc, who was ruled out of the tournament, taking 3-wickets to bowl out the RCB at 175.

Then, Chris Lynn (62*) and Sunil Narine (27) gave a descent start to the KKR, and later Robin Uthappa (36) and Karthik (23) finished off the match for the KKR in Bengaluru.

Now, the KKR will next lock horns with the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata on 3 May, with the aim to keep their winning momentum in the IPL 2018.
