Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) secured a big win against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Sunday. Chasing 176, KKR looked smooth throughout their innings.

Their openers Sunil Narine and Chris Lynn gave them a good start. Lynn remained not-out as he scored 62 runs in 52 balls. Kolkata defeated RCB by 6 wickets to ensure they stay in top 4 till now.

Skipper Dinesh Karthik is happy with the win and wants to use this winning momentum further in this tournament. "Always feels better to win first. Nothing too special about where we are, nothing bad about being in the middle of the table, we need to use some momentum from here. I thought it was a par score, they batted really well and we knew Virat was the big wicket we needed in AB's absence. He came all guns blazing. I believe we need to have a strong core and trust them. I've felt that you need to trust the players that are part of the XI," Karthik said at the post-match presentation ceremony.

Praising the Under 19 players, Karthik credited Rahul Dravid for grooming the youngsters. "I have a lot of time for them in life. They're great kids. After winning the World Cup you generally have a bit of a chip on the shoulder, but not these guys. Credit to Rahul Dravid too. They always have to say good things about him. Always trying to make sure to win the game," he said.

Sunil Narine did what he does best against RCB. Once again the opener added quick runs for his team against the Bangalore bowling unit.

"The lesser the wickets we lose at the top the better it is for us. We set a platform for the rest in the middle-order to come and finish it off. We just try to keep calm and win cricket games. Once the guys come out and give them their all we can win any game; hope we continue from strength to strength," Narine said after the match.
