IPL 2018: Ishan Kishan gets "wicket-keeping" tips from MS Dhoni

The most decorated Indian captain in the history of the game of Cricket, MS Dhoni, is known his lightning-fast running and extraordinary acrobatic skills behind the stumps, and his contribution to the Indian cricket is not hidden from anyone.

He is also a great source for the youngsters to learn many things about the game whether it be batting or keeping.

On Sunday (29 April), Dhoni was seen sharing wicket-keeping tips with Ishan Kishan during in an Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018 match at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune.

Ishan Kishan, who is has been a revelation for Mumbai Indians (MI) in the ongoing edition 11th edition of theT20 tournament, got a golden chance to learn wicket-keeping skills from the best in business during his team's IPL 2018 encounter against Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings in Pune.

The 19-year-old Jharkhand lad has impressed many with his wicket-keeping skills and ability with the willow in the ongoing 2018 season of the IPL, and for which he has credited Dhoni, who made him work on his attitude at the crease.

He had said, “Dhoni bhai saw me at the nets and walked up to me and said that I needed to curtail my attacking instincts, to begin with. He believed that to play a long innings I needed to be a little more compact and I did just that. He asked me to change my stance as well and when it comes from someone like Dhoni bhai, you know you can trust his observation.”

Meanwhile, Mumbai Indians have shared the picture of Dhoni and Ishan, in which we can see the duo were talking about wicket-keeping, on their official social media handle with a caption, “Learning a trick or two from the best in the business! The Jharkhand boys – @ishankishan23 and MS Dhoni bond after the game.”
