MS Dhoni, as a captain changed the fortunes of Indian team with innovative techniques of leadership and grooming young players into ready products by the time he stepped down from the job. In the ongoing IPL 2018, you are seeing that MS Dhoni still has all the chops of being an ace captain.
Former CSK player Matthew Hayden has already termed MS Dhoni as the captain of IPL 2018, and now former RPS, CSK and Team India colleague Irfan Pathan revealed what made MS Dhoni such a great and inspirational leader.
Irfan said that way Dhoni interacted with all the players, seniors and juniors and how he made them comfortable in the dressing room, sets him aside as a captain from others.
“Anybody can go up to Dhoni freely and have a chat. Even if it’s your first day in the team, there’s no reason for you to hesitate. Dhoni makes sure he gives you respect and full attention when he’s interacting with you. Just because you’re a junior, that doesn’t mean he will not take you seriously or show disrespect. That’s what makes him so great,” he said during the Star Sports pre match show.
MS Dhoni has found his old charm and hitting abilities during the IPL 2018 and his personal exploits with the bat has influenced his team to the top of the points table so far.
