Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper MS Dhoni is taking positives from the defeat against Mumbai Indians (MI) at Pune, on Saturday. CSK lost the game against MI by 8 wickets. However, they are still on top of the table with 10 points and better run-rate than Kings XI Punjab and Sunrisers Hyderabad.

"Losses like these make you humble. If you keep winning, you don't know the areas you've to work hard. It's a good game, gives us an idea of what we should do in such situations: whether we need to score 20 runs more. It's still early in the competition," said Dhoni.

"It's important to realise what went wrong. Losses like these makes you learn a lot. We've relied on brilliant individual performances, but here we were 10-15 short," he added.

Dhoni thinks that the loss will give them the time to analyze things before stepping into the playoffs. "We have won quite a few games. We now have time to analyze what needs to be done. Overall, it was a tight game and ended in the last over. You should not lose in the 14th or the 15th over, because that will affect the run-rate," Dhoni said.

The 36-year-old praised MI for their win. "Mumbai Indians bowled well in the middle overs. You need pace on this wicket, they bowled back of length, so it wasn't coming on. If you have pace, you can push the batsmen back. Playing cross-batted shots weren't easy. Their spinners also bowled well," he said.
