KKR fast bowler Shivam Mavi and DD's Avesh Khan have been reprimanded for breaching the IPL Code of Conduct. The rookie pacers were issued a reprimand for "sending off" batsmen with expletives in two separate incidents during Friday's clash between DD and KKR at the Feroz Shah Kotla.

“Both Mr. Mavi and Mr Khan admitted to the Level 1 offense under 2.1.7 of the IPL Code of Conduct for Players and Team Officials and accepted the sanctions,” an IPL media release stated.

It is pertinent to mention here that the match referee’s decision is final and binding for Level 1 breaches of the IPL Code of Conduct.

Mavi, who was thrashed all over the park by the Delhi batters later in the innings, had started the evening promisingly by yorking the swashbuckling Colin Munro for 33. After getting rid of the DD opener, Mavi had exchanged a few words with him.

On the other hand, Avesh Khan had given the departing Andre Russell a mouthful of abuse after effectively securing the game for Daredevils.

As far as the outcome of the match is concerned – the Delhi Daredevils registered a comprehensive 55-run victory over KKR last night. With this resounding win, DD also jumped to the seventh spot in the points table while KKR is placed at the fourth position with three victories in seven matches.
