IPL 2018: Match 26, DD vs KKR: Iyer faces Kolkata challenge on captaincy debut for Daredevils

The match will be played at the Feroz Shah Kotla.

Syreyas Iyer has been named as DD's new captain for the season.

Delhi Daredevils this season as well has been the same old story in the IPL. Almost halfway through the season, Delhi Daredevils find themselves at the bottom of the table having lost 5 of their six games.

KKR, on the other hand, have won three and lost three. Tonight's game gives them another opportunity to add another win onto their list and go up the ladder.

KKR will have to do some rethinking regarding playing the best eleven in the match. They have an option to rope in Mitchell Johnson for tonight's game in place of Tom Curran. The spin trio of Chawla, Narine and Kuldeep coupled with Johnson will be a good bowling attack for KKR.

Delhi, on the other hand, has a lot of options from. However, the most important which will be worrying them will be if Gambhir will play tonight's match after he resigned from captaincy. In other possible changes, there might be a possibility for Amit Mishra to be benched again as he has not delivered so far for Delhi. Chris Morris and Jason Roy's availability is also unsure and in that sense, Sandeep Lamichhane might get a look in at either's expense.
