IPL 2018: WATCH: Chris Gayle takes over the wicket-keeping role from KL Rahul

Gayle's video of trying his hands on wicket-keeping has gone viral.

Kings XI Punjab cricketer Chris Gayle tried his hands on wicket-keeping gloves in a game against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). KL Rahul, the KXIP wicket-keeper had taken a short break as Gayle got himself behind the wickets.

While Rahul was running from the boundary to the wicketkeeper’s position, Gayle was asking the bowler Barinder Sran to go ahead and bowl. Gayle gave the gloves back to Rahul and shared a laugh with his opening partner before going back to his fielding position.

Here’s the video of Gayle, the wicketkeeper:

Gayle has been in a tremendous form in this IPL. The Caribbean cricketer was bought by KXIP after all other franchises refused to bid for him.

After missing the starting games, Gayle played against Chennai Super Kings. He scored 229 runs from three innings including that game.

KXIP are currently on third in the points table with 5 wins and 2 losses. They lost their second game against SRH after being failed to chase down a target of 133 in 20 overs. The franchise was bowled out on 119 under their allotted 20 overs.
