Ambati Rayudu, the India and Chennai Super Kings batsman, has stated after playing a magnificent knock of 82 against the Royal Challengers Bangalore that he "was sure and had the belief" that he really make an impact on the game for his team. Chasing a stiff looking 205, CSK went on to beat RCB by 5 wickets.

Rayudu's innings of 82 from 53 balls played a perfect foil to Mahendra Singh Dhoni's match-winning 70 from 34 balls. Speaking about both the CSK vital cog's partnership. Ambati was quoted saying that, "After losing 4 wickets, we were thinking of constructing the innings and the way Dhoni Bhai came to the middle and the tempo, from the first ball, he wanted to hit the ball out of the park, I was sure and had the belief that if he would see through about four overs, without losing a wicket, we will have a good chance."

Dhoni made the typical finish to the innings in the end and Rayudu feels he could've done more and stayed with him until the end. He said, "It would have been better if I had stayed with Dhoni Bhai and finished it off but I am really happy with the way I'm batting,"

Rayudu also feels that its important for CSK batting unit to continue the good work they have done so far. "I still feel it's too early in the tournament and the business end only after 8 or 9 games. So we need to keep continuing as a batting unit and keep out feet on the ground and do the basics,"
