Kings XI Punjab collapsed from 55 for no loss to 119 all out as Rashid Khan started the slide for the Sunrisers. Rashid Khan picked up 3 for 19 along with the other Sunrisers bowlers chipping in with wickets as well. Basil finally ended the carnage for Punjab as he castled Ankit Rajpoot to cap his team a 13 run victory. There are three teams thus tied at 10 points with CSK leading the points table due to a better run rate then SRH and KXIP who are second and third on the list respectively.
For Punajb KL Rahul and Chris Gayle gave them a brisk start as they played some good shots to start off their innings. Rashid Khan then started the slide for SRH as he dismissed Rahul for 32. The rest just fell like a pack of cards as Sunrisers bowlers left the Punjab batsmen clueless.
Earlier, there was another impressive bowling effort from the Kings XI Punjab bowlers as they managed to limit the Sunrisers batsmen scored just 132 in their 20 overs. After an initial top-order collapse for the Sunrisers, Manish Pandey came to his won scoring 54 from 51 deliveries to guide his team to a competitive score keeping in mind the Sunrisers' bowling attack.
