Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers are the heart of the RCB team. Both players were retained by the franchise and have so far given the value for their worth in the past few years.
On April 25th, RCB took on rivals Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at home and thanks to trailblazing innings from AB de Villiers (68 off 30 balls), posted 205 runs on the board. De Villiers got his eye in by playing a couple of deliveries and then attacked Harbhajan Singh in the very next over only to smack him for a couple of sixes and a four. He had announced himself in the middle and even the worse was about to follow for the visitors.
AB de Villiers hit one of his maximums out of the Stadium which went 111 meters long to become the longest six of the tournament. Young Shardul Thakur came to bowl with a rampaging De Villiers, who promptly smashed him for three consecutive sixes.
Virat Kohli who was sitting in the dugout was in awe of De Villiers’ big hitting and had a fanboy moment when he smoked Thakur for three straight sixes.
