Rohit Sharma, the Mumbai Indians captain and their best batsman, have reiterated his faith in his team that they will make a substantial return to the competition in the ongoing Indian Premier League season. Mumbai Indians, the three times winner and subsequently the most successful IPL team in the history of the league,  are struggling right now having lost four of their five games in the title defence campaign.

Heartbreaking fact for Rohit and his warriors has been losing the really close games, they lost one home game to a Dwayne Bravo special against Chennai Super Kings and an away game to one exceptional performance from Krishnappa Gowtham versus the Rajasthan Royals.

Rohit though is confident that they will make a grand return. Talking about it at a book launch recently, Rohit was quoted as saying, “So far whatever is happening with MI, it is not going the way we want to. But I think we will turn things around like we have done it in the past. Hopefully, we can turn it around this time,”

Rohit was obviously referring to 2013 and 2015 seasons, especially the 2015 one where they lost five out of their first six matches and yet made a sensational comeback and won for the second time on the back of a lot of consecutive wins leading straight till the final against the Chennai Super Kings at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

Mumbai Indians fans would hope for Rohit to be right and for their team to make a similar return to the toughest T20 competition in the world.
