Delhi Daredevils played their first match at home after five straight away games against KXIP in the ongoing IPL 2018.

KXIP’s start wasn’t that good, as Aaron Finch’s struggles at the top continued and was dismissed for 2 by Avesh Khan. Rahul (23) and Mayank (21) added 36 runs before Plunkett removed both and KXIP found themselves 60/3. Karun scored 34 and Miller scored 26, but the KXIP bowlers kept picking wickets and run rate down.

Plunkett was the pick of bowlers, picking 3/17 on his IPL debut. Avesh Khan picked 2/36 and Amit Mishra was unlucky not to pick any wicket.

In the end, KXIP ended up making 143/8. Trent Boult picked two wickets in the 20th over to end up with figures of 2/21 in 3 overs.
