Chennai Super Kings visited Hyderabad to take on Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 20th match of the IPL 2018.

The match was a crucial one for both teams and Kane Williamson won the toss and chose to bowl first. Dhoni made one change to his team, bringing in Du Plessis for Tahir and SRH gave a debut to Ricky Bhui in place of Shikhar Dhawan.

Chennai started slowly, making only 27/1 in first 6 overs. Watson scored 9 and Du Plessis scored 11. However, Ambati Rayudu and Suresh Raina added 112 runs for the 3rd wicket to bring CSK back on the track. Rayudu in particular was brilliant, as he took on the SRH bowlers, scoring 79 in 37 balls with 4 sixes and 9 fours.

In the death overs, Raina and Dhoni rained fire on SRH bowling as CSK ended up scoring 182/3 in 20 overs. Raina ended up making 54* in 43 balls with 2 sixes and 5 fours, while Dhoni made 25* in 12 balls.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar with figures of 1/22 in 3 overs was the pick of SRH bowling, while Rashid Khan went for 49 runs in his four overs for one wicket.

SRH had a new opening partnership for this match as debutant Bhui opened with Kane Williamson. Bhui copped a duck, as Chahar had him caught by Watson in slips. Manish Pandey (0) and Deepak Hooda (1) were also accounted by Deepak Chahar, leaving SRH 22/3 in the 5th over.

However, Kane Williamson (84 in 51 balls with 5 fours and 5 sixes) and Shakib (24) added 49 runs for the 4th wicket. Then Yusuf Pathan (45 in 27 balls with 1 four and 4 sixes) and Williamson added 79 runs for the 5th wicket to keep SRH in the hunt.

But Bravo removed Williamson and Thakur removed Pathan at crucial junctures to bring CSK back in the game. Deepak Chahar was the pick of CSK bowlers with 3/15 off his 4 overs with one maiden.

Rashid Khan brought SRH closer to with a six and a four in the last over. But Bravo bowled a perfect yorker to give CSK the win by 4 runs. CSK went to the top of the points table with this win.
