AB de Villiers turned out to be the savior for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) one more time. He smashed the Delhi Daredevils (DD) bowlers all around the ground to score an unbeaten 90 runs. The innings was enough to keep DD on the bottom of the points table.
He wasn't in a good touch in the last few games, but for a player like him, it hardly matters. He crushed the opposition single-handedly. "The last two innings I wasn't hitting it too well, but today I felt it coming off the middle, watched it nice and early, bought myself that extra split second and that's when I need to cash in. When you do get on top of the bowler, you have to take him down," De Villiers said at the post-match ceremony.
It was RCB's second win of the season and they still need their core to fire so that they could finish in top four. The fans have faith in their team and no matter despite forgettable previous game, the Bangalore crowd supported the team wholeheartedly.
"This is the best crowd in the world; I just love playing here. But I must say, whenever you get into that zone that crowd is only a buzz. And today was a buzz," added the South African.
It was De Villiers' highest score batting second in IPL. RCB would be hoping for other players to step up too.
