Chennai Super Kings took on Sunrisers Hyderabad in Hyderabad in the 20th match of the IPL 2018.
Hyderabad desperately needed a win against Chennai Super Kings and playing at home, they had a distinct advantage. SRH had to play without their opener Shikhar Dhawan and Ricky Bhui made his SRH debut. CSK, on the other hand, included Du Plessis in place of Tahir.
The pitch was on the slower side and CSK openers found it difficult to score runs and CSK only made 27/1 in first 6 overs. Watson fell for 9 and Du Plessis made 11. However, CSK was out on track by Ambati Rayudu and Suresh Raina (53* off 43 balls), who added 112 runs for the 3rd wicket. Rayudu scored 79 off 37 balls with 4 sixes and 9 fours, while Raina scored a brilliant fifty.
MS Dhoni (25* off 12 balls) came in for some late blows in the death overs and CSK managed to score 182/3 in their 20 overs.
