Kings XI Punjab batsman Mayank Agarwal on Saturday reiterated that their batsmen have been doing really well in the ongoing Indian Premier League season so far.

He talked about the same when asked by the reporters after Kings XI registered an important nine-wicket win over Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) via Duckworth-Lewis method.

Agarwal said, "We have been batting well. We intend to keep doing the things we've been doing".

Chris Gayle has been simply magnificent for the team from the north so far and has proven again why he is T20s best batsman. Gayle already has three match-winning scores of 63, 104 not out and 62 not out last evening.

KL Rahul as well, has been giving Punjab excellent starts this season going at some excellent strike rates.

Mayank when asked about the opening partnership's form, said, "Gayle brings in a lot of firepowers. Along with him, the bowlers are also stepping in. Rahul is doing well too. So we can't say it's a one-man show."

Mayank has lost his own batting position owing purely to what best fits the team. Kings XI management wasted no time in putting Chris Gayle at the top with KL Rahul once the former got fit. Mayank's own poor scores didn't help his cause.

Kings XI Punjab led by Ravichandran Ashwin has been the pleasant surprise of the season so far. They have eight points from their five games, losing just one and winning four.
