Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Daredevils, the two bottom teams on the IPL 2018 points table met at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium.
Virat Kohli, the RCB skipper won the toss and decided to bowl first. RCB brought in Manan Vohra in place of Sarfraz Khan. Delhi on the other hand, brought in Harshal Patel in for Mohd Shami.
RCB bowling looked lethal for once, as Yadav removed Gambhir for 3 and Chahal got Roy out for 5. Shreyas Iyer (52 off 34 balls with 4 fours and 3 sixes) and Rishabh Pant added 75 runs for the 3rd wicket to take RCB to 98/3. Iyer was dismissed by Chahal right after he completed his fifty.
Pant carried on in dominating fashion, as he milked the wayward RCB death overs bowling. He slammed a brilliant 85 off 48 balls with 6 fours and 7 sixes and added 65 runs for the 5th wicket with Rahul Tewatia who scored 9 runs in the partnership.
Delhi Daredevils finished on 174/5 in 20 overs.
Twitter was left in a shock after Rishabh Pant's assault on RCB bowling and showed the respect and adulation via tweets.
Such was Pant's presence at the crease that Chahal, who had conceded 22 from 3 overs did not even complete his quota #RCBvDD #IPL2018

When he is thinking of hitting the ball for a six & not breaking it into two, Pant is such a fantastic player! ????????#RCBvsDD
