An unfortunate incident happened during the game between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on Tuesday. MI wicket-keeper Ishan Kishan got injured after a throw from Hardik Pandya took an awkward bounce and hit near his right eye.

The youngster was in pain before taken off the ground. Kishan’s right eye looked visibly swollen as he walked off taking some primary treatment by the physio. For rest of the game, Mumbai called Aditya Tare for keeping.

Pandya later apologized to Kishan and called him cutie-pie. Taking to Twitter, he wrote, “Mera cutie pie Sorry bhai! Stay strong, @ishankishan23.”

Skipper Rohit Sharma also spoke about the incident after the game. He said Kishan will be good to be back on the field in 1-2 days. MI will play their next game on 22nd April against Rajasthan Royals.

“Unfortunate, I have not checked on him because I came here right after the presentation got over. He seems all-right, he has got little swelling in his eyes, which should be ok by tomorrow/ day after, we have got few days before we play the next match on 22nd, we have got 3-4 days, where we will assess and hopefully he will be fine.”
