The 6’8’’ tall Australian fast bowler Billy Stanlake, who is currently playing his trade for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the ongoing Indian Premier League (SRH), has the ability to bamboozle batsmen with his bowling over 90 mph. But, Billy hogged the limelight in the IPL 2018 with the willow during SRH’s match against Mumbai Indians on 12 April at home.

Stanlake,  batting at No.11 finished off the game for SRH by hitting a boundary at Ben Cutting’s ball in the last ball to seal the high-pressure match for the hosts, saying it was an ultimate experience for him to finish off the game.

As per a report in Hindustan Times, Stanlake said, “Sort of never been in that situation before. It was good fun facing good mate Ben Cutting and a different experience than trying to close the game with the ball. Was thinking of trying and get over the infield. Luckily, it just got over the man and went to the rope.”

Hyderabad has the best bowling attack in IPL led by Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Siddarth Kaul, Sandeep Sharma and Billy, who believes the depth in the bowling helped him pick up five wickets in three matches of the IPL 2018.

Stanlake signed off by saying, “My approach is to be aggressive no matter where I am playing. Entice the batsman to hit me of a good length and hoping that with my pace and bounce makes it difficult to do so. We have got depth and variety in our bowling attack and in T20 cricket variety in your attack goes a long way.”
