It was the battle of ‘KINGS’ in Mohali as the Kings XI Punjab locked horns with the highly-spirited Chennai Super Kings on last Sunday (April 15). Amidst plenty of buzz, the Ravichandran Ashwin-led KXIP side registered a nerve-wrecking 4-run victory over CSK.

KXIP came out on top despite the brilliance of MS Dhoni, who blasted an unbeaten 44-ball 79. After the thrilling match, congratulatory messages started to pour in for the Punjab-based franchise. However, the joy of victory got unpleasant a bit when the KXIP owner Preity Zinta was spotted arguing with a section of crowd at the PCA Stadium.

Until Monday (April 18), nobody had an idea what actually triggered Zinta that she lost her cool in front of thousands in the stadium. On Tuesday though, Preity herself opened up about the matter on micro-blogging site Twitter.

“2 little girls were being trampled by the crowd. I asked the people to move & give them space so they could breathe & not cry.  #safety Ting” Preity Zinta wrote on her official Twitter page.

In the ongoing Indian Premier League, KXIP have played some marvellous cricket thus far. They have won two out of their three matches and are currently placed at No. 3 in the points table.
