There is no such thing as form for MS Dhoni. When Dhoni gets time to build his innings he becomes a real threat for the opposition. However, in the last game of Chennai Super Kings (CSK), the fighter couldn't take his team to the win as CSK fell four runs short of what could have been a memorable victory.

Dhoni, 79* off 44, played with a back pain and still managed to take his team close to the victory. It was a nail-biter and with Dhoni batting, Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) bowlers found themselves under pressure. Though, Mohit Sharma still managed to defend 17 runs off the last over and clinched a victory for Punjab.

The social media was flooded with the love and respect for Dhoni. He stood alone and fought for the team despite being down with the pain. 

Not only cricket fraternity, even Bollywood stars were impressed with him. Actor Ranveer Singh, a fan of Dhoni, took Twitter to express his feeling after the win. He wrote that the 36-year-old deserved the win for his efforts. 

“Aaaaah! Almost! Oh well… @msdhoni effort deserved the win! Kya bolega…. T20 can be brutal, man… #KXIPvCSK,” Ranveer wrote.

CSK were chasing 198 and they didn't get the desired start. It was Ambati Rayudu who scored a 49, apart from Dhoni's brilliant knock.
