Manish Pandey might not have been very impressive with the bat thus far, but he has contributed with his fielding. His teammate Billy Stanlake was so impressed with Pandey's fielding against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) that he offered to buy Manish Pandey some beer.

Pandey's effort had given a lifeline to Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Saturday. They were trying hard to break the partnership between Nitish Rana and Chris Lynn. The 39-run could have turned the game as everyone knows the caliber of the batsmen. But Manish stunned the opponents with his acrobatic effort to send Rana back into the dressing room.

The other one was that of Andre Russell. Before the Caribbean hitter could do something, he top-edged one high in the sky and Manish was there once again to pull off a stunner this time running towards the dipping ball.

“The wickets of Rana and (Andre) Russell were only thanks to two great catches. Think I should buy Manish some beers after this,” said Stanlake. The Australian cricketer was awarded the Man-of-the-Match award.

SRH skipper Kane Williamson also sung praises for his fielding department. “The real highlight was our fielding tonight. Bowlers have executed their skills really well, but we know every game is tough, so look to continue,” said Williamson.

Hyderabad are currently on top of the IPL points table with three consecutive wins.

“It is obviously nice to win three in a row but this surface needed some adapting. There wasn’t a lot of turn, and Kolkata are a strong team but it was nice to go over the line in this city,” said Williamson.

The SRH opener has played some fine innings for the franchise this year. Talking about his batting, he said he will be aggressive this year.

“I’m not gonna hold back. Things have been changing for more than year now. Just trying to enjoy the journey, and mistakes are part of the process. I’m a big believer in process so just want to keep everything going as it is,” he said.
