While KKR lost Kamlesh Nagarkoti for the season, they have added another member to their thinktank who will be closely working with the squad for the rest of the season.

KK CEO Venky Mysore has announced on Twitter that Abhishek Nayar will be joining the squad for the rest of the season as their mentor.

Nayar has worked closely with Dinesh Karthik over the years and that is what Venky Mysore has stressed up as the reason to rope him in. Many believe that it is a tactical move by the KKR management keeping the future success in mind.

He was upbeat about the appointment of Nayar as Mysore felt that his experience would benefit the youngsters in the squad. “Pleased to welcome @abhisheknayar1 to the KKR support staff. The younger talent of the team will particularly benefit from Nayar’s experience & mentoring #KKRHaiTaiyaar @KKRiders,” he tweeted while welcoming the veteran.

Even Nayar was excited about his inclusion in KKR support staff and expressed his excitement to work with the team in purple and gold. “An honour sir and looking forward to it,” he wrote while retweeting the message from Venky. it is surely a huge boost to KKR as Nayar’s experience will come in handy for the team.

KKR host Sunrisers Hyderabad tonight in Kolkata. They lost a close game against CSK the other night. SRH, on the other hand, are unbeaten in their first two games and are high on confidence.
