IPL 2018: Match 9, MI vs DD: Teams look to get a win on board

The game will be played at the Wankhede.

Both teams are yet to get a win in this campaign.

Winless starts for both teams in their first two matches means that one of the two teams between Mumbai Indians and Delhi Daredevils will get a win under their belt after today's match.

For Mumbai, Rohit Sharma is yet to get started in the tournament while for Delhi, Gautam Gambhir showed good form on his comeback to his home franchise. While Mumbai has been rather unfortunate to end up as the losing side in two closely contested games, Delhi has been below par with their performance so far.

In their second game against Rajasthan which was a rain curtailed one, Delhi failed to chase 71 from 6 as they fell short of the target by 10 runs.

This match, therefore, becomes a must-win for both the teams who are yet to get started in the tournament.

The weather forecast for the 4 pm game is devoid of rain. However, conditions will be hot and humid amidst a wicket which is a batting paradise in India. If the pitch lives by its reputation we can witness a high scoring encounter.
