Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) hosted Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) for their home match. RCB captain Virat Kohli won the toss and decided to chase.

KL Rahul was at his usual best as he slammed 4 sixes in his innings till the 8th over. KXIP dropped David Miller and brought in the newly married Aaron Finch. However, the biggest impact of the match was made by fast bowler Umesh Yadav.

Yadav bowled his second over of the match and immediately removed Mayank Agarwal for 15, caught behind by Quinton de Kock. Next ball, he had Aaron Finch caught LBW first ball. Finch opted for DRS review but was found to be out. Yuvraj Singh came in next and played out two balls. He then pulled the 5th ball of the over for a boundary. The fielder had come in to stop the ball, but overran and missed the catch.

However, Umesh Yadav brought the next ball back in to knock Yuvraj’s middle stump back. This left KXIP tottering at 36/3 after 4 overs.

Twitter went ecstatic with Umesh’s bowling and showered him with love via tweets.
