Sunrisers Hyderabad captain and right-hand batsman,  Kane Williamson has come out and stated that "Rashid Khan is a great asset with the ball"

The wrist-spinner was outstanding for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the last night's encounter versus the defending champions Mumbai Indians. In the seventh game of the current Indian Premier League season, Rashid set the game up with his decisive spell of 4 overs where he went for just 13 runs which included 18 dot balls. 18 in a spell is a joint world record with Ravichandran Ashwin for Rashid.

Kane also showered praise on youngster Deepak Hooda for his performance with the bat in a crunch situation. Deepak held his own despite the wickets falling around him and finished the game with the help of Billy Stanlake the no.11 in the final over. Deepak scored 32 off 25 in a run chase, which should've been straightforward but wasn't, of 148 in 20 overs.

Williamson in the post-match press conference was amused about how the contest became a cliffhanger in the end and the fact that his team ended up winning it. He said,  “One of the games that came down to the wire,"

“The surface was different and maybe we were not quick to adapt. The bowlers were outstanding and we scrapped with the bat. Hooda was outstanding and Rashid is a great asset with the ball. We have a number of very talented local bowlers. Sandeep bowled nicely and to be honest at the halfway stage I thought it would be scrappy effort to get across the line,”
