Sunrisers Hyderabad and Mumbai Indians played a thrilling match that had all the makings of a T20 classic.

MI batted first to score 147/8 with Evin Lewis making 29, Suryakumar Yadav and Kieron Pollard making 28 each. Sandeep Sharma picked up 2/25 on SRH debut and Siddharth Kaul picked 2/29.

Set 149 to win, SRH had a good opening with Dhawan making 45, but then Mayank Markande happened and SRH lost their way, as Markande removed the likes of Saha, Dhawan, Manish Pandey and Shakib-Al-Hasan, to leave SRH a bit worried. But Deepak Hooda remained nonchalant during the innings and played a gem of 32* off 25 balls, with a six in the last over, when 11 runs were needed and one wicket was in hand. Billy Stanlake finally won the match off the last ball and MI was left cursing their luck, as they lost their second straight game by one wicket.

Twitter was out of breath as the match ended in a nail-biter and SRH won. They immediately praised the SRH batting and comeback by MI bowling.
