Farzi Times: Ricky Ponting to play for Delhi Daredevils, he will use his World Cup 2003's spring bat

Indian bowlers sit in protests after hearing this news.

Delhi Daredevils (DD) are having a tough time in the initial phase of IPL 2018. The Gautam Gambhir-led side has lost two consecutive games and yet to open their account. They lost their second match against Rajasthan Royals (RR) after failing to chase down 71 runs in 6 overs.

The target was chaseable, but a side full of power-hitters failed to hunt it down. DD chief coach Ricky Ponting isn't pleased with theie performance either. So, Ponting has decided to don the Delhi jersey and step into the field to rescue DD's fortunes.

Yes, you read it right, don't wipe your laptop screen. This is his second biggest decision after ordering umpire to give Sourav Ganguly out in Sydney Test of 2008.

In our chat with DD coach, he said, "I want to comeback. This time it will be your place and my bat. Yes, my bat with spring in it. I will play this whole season like it's 2003 World Cup."

Skipper Gambhir also spoke on this occasion. "I think we all are aware of what effect Ponting's bat with the spring can have on bowlers. Hopefully, the spring can help us jump from the last position to IPL final," he said.

The 90s kids have started to burn posters of Ponting in protests; while the Indian bowlers in IPL have gone on indefinite fast after hearing this news. Only true India's 90s kids can feel the pain.
