IPL 2018: Match 7, SRH vs MI: Mumbai look for their first win as SRH look for home domination

While SRH won their opener, Mumbai lost it against CSK.

Sunrisers Hyderabad and Mumbai Indians had contrasting starts to their IPL 2018 campaigns this year. While SRH cruised to a nine-wicket victory in Hyderabad over Rajasthan Royals, Chennai Super Kings pulled off a grand heist to hand Mumbai a heart-breaking one-wicket loss.

SRH host MI today at home to continue their home domination as MI look for their first win of the campaign. MI look the better of the two teams on paper, but it is SRH who are ahead of them on the points table.  Mumbai got in two training sessions leading into the clash, one in the afternoon and one under lights. Sunrisers' batsmen spent some time in the nets, while the bowlers were involved in gruelling fielding and catching drills through the evening on the eve of the match.

As far as the battle is concerned it will be between the might of Mumbai against the true potential of SRH as a team. Both teams have two of the best death bowlers in world cricket in Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah. While Rohit Sharma, the MI skipper will shoulder responsibilities with the bat for , his Team India partner Shikhar Dhawan will do the same for SRH. 

As far as the temperature is concerned, A hot day with temperatures rising to 36 degrees in the day. An evening game will mean respite from that heat, but a hot day nevertheless with rain expected to stay away.

As far as head to head is concerned boy teams are tied at 5 all but at home, SRH enjoys a 3-2 lead against Mumbai.
