Rahane's captain knock
Ajinkya Rahana the newly appointed captain of Rajasthan Royals played a responsive inning to lead his team to a comparative decent total in a rain-affected game. Rahane scored reliable 45 runs for his team which show how firm and effective a captain can be. Despite his powerful innings, he would like to keep his strike rate a bit high in the upcoming games of IPL 2018.

Ben Stokes' disappointing show

Ben Stokes had another flop show at work as he just managed to score only 16 runs against Delhi Daredevils. The latter was caught behind by Rishabh Pant while attempting a quicker delivery from Trent Boult. He was totally muddled while endeavouring his shot which made him walk back cheaply to the dressing room. Till now he has only scored 21 runs in the tournament. Rajasthan Royals would definitely like to check his form as they have invested Rs 12.5 crore on him.

Raining heavily at Jaipur | Source IANSRain hurdled the match in between
Just after Jos Buttler's wicket, the rain came drizzling in between the match to stop for a long 1-hour gap. The ground staff tried their level best to soak the water from the pitch but the match started to lose overs. After such a long break it was decided that Delhi Daredevils have to chase a mammoth total of 71 runs in 6 overs with only 2 overs for batting powerplay. Chasing 71 in 6 overs on a damp pitch was next to impossible and hence Delhi had to suffer.

Munro had an another flop show | Source IANS

Munro's diamond duck
Colin Munro was dismissed without facing a ball and was run out by the keeper who left no clue for the Kiwi batsman. It was a like another dreadful start for Delhi Daredevils. Colin Munro departed very early in his innings like adding disaster to Delhi's batting line-up. Munro who is a very attacking batsman has not really clicked yet and would surely like to master his innings and get Delhi a win against Mumbai.

Glenn Maxwell scored a breezy 17 off 12 but was dismissed in the fourth over by his Australian counterpart Ben Laughlin in the fourth over. Delhi by then put up 34 on the board. Delhi still fell short by runs with Chris Morris trying his best to take his team over the line. Morris (17) was unbeaten on as Delhi fell short by 10 runs to give Rajasthan two points and their first win of the campaign.  In the quest of a win, DD lost as many as four wickets in just six overs.

Rajasthan won the match by 10 runs ( DLS Method )
Despite rain hindering the match, Rajasthan had a huge total to defend and their bowlers made sure that everything goes in the right place. Rajasthan Royals beat Delhi Daredevils by a margin 10 runs to seal their first victory in IPL 2018. This was Rajasthan's  9th successive win for in Jaipur and 7th successive win against DD.
