Kevin Pietersen, former England skipper has shown his support for Delhi Daredevils to go all the way this season. Pietersen who captained the franchise a few editions ago in a tweet voiced his support for DD who started their campaign with a loss against KXIP in Mohali on Sunday.
DD roped in Gautam Gambhir as the season for the franchise after leading KKR for 7 seasons from 2011 to 2017. Kings XI got the better of DD in Mohali although, Gambhir registered his first fifty of the season.
Pietersen through his tweet has shown his support for the owners too who according to him have been very patient with the franchise.
Meanwhile, KP has been very busy promoting the awareness about rhinos getting extinct from wildlife and urged the general public to come out and support the initiative.
Pietersen has been very active in social media to express his happiness at the increase in the number of rhinos in Kaziranga. However, Pietersen’s way of celebration has been a little unusual as he shared his message in Hindi, which caught everyone's attention.
Pietersen, who has played 104 Tests and 136 ODIs for England, had retired from the game of cricket last month after playing in PSL 2018.
Here is KP's tweet showing his support for Delhi Daredevils.
The @DelhiDaredevils are my team of choice for the @IPL.— Kevin Pietersen (@KP24) April 9, 2018
I’m not saying they’re going to win the IPL, but I’d love them to.
Cos I love the owner and Kiran deserves a trophy & cos I also had my best time at that franchise!
