Irfan Pathan wants his brother Yusuf Pathan to break the record of fastest fifty of Indian Premier League (IPL) set by KL Rahul on Sunday. The Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) batsman smashed a fifty on 14 balls against Delhi Daredevils (DD).

After Rahul's 14-ball 50 against DD, Pathan congratulated him and tagged his brother Yusuf to ask if he could do it in one less ball? "KL Rahul ???????? outstanding innings. Fastest 50 in the ipl @iamyusufpathan bro let’s try for 13 balls now ?," he wrote.

Yusuf has a played some of the fastest innings in IPL. He had scored a match-winning 22-ball-72 against the Sunrisers Hyderabad playing for Kolkata Knight Riders. The elder Pathan had then scored the 50 in just 15 balls.

The 35-year-old has also scored a 37-ball 100 by his name, which he smashed in 2010 playing for Rajasthan Royals.

Responding to his younger brother, Pathan wrote he will try to break the record. "Tere liye 13-ball me bhi 50 bana neka try karenge Insha Allah bhai and well played @klrahul11 . Also, it's lovely to hear you in the commentary box @IrfanPathan hope you're enjoying the new role. @IPL," tweeted Yusuf.

The right-handed batsman will play for Sunrisers Hyderabad this season.
