Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) has a huge fan base all over the India. Just like any other franchise's fans, their fans also can't take anything against their team. Who knows this better than Ben Duckett? The English cricketer saw a glimpse of RCB fandom's power.

RCB lost to Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in their first encounter of this year's IPL season. Needless to say, their bowling attack has once again let them down. Though, their famed batting unit also couldn't give them a lifeline.

A poor opening stand, followed by a slow innings of skipper Virat Kohli didn't help them. Not only that, they lost quick wickets at the end when it was time for some fireworks by two set batsmen AB de Villiers and Kohli.

Watching all of it, Duckett took a jibe at RCB and called them a joke. No rocket science, the tweet didn't go well with the Bangalore fans and they went against him with some really strong words.

He wrote, "RCB’s team is a joke ???????? #IPL". The 23-year-old didn't stop there. Seeing the circus around him, he thought of having more fun. He further wrote, "A joke is a good thing by the way ????????".

It went too far as Duckett received some harsh messages from the fans. He shared a screenshot on Monday. "Woken up to these and many more horrible messages. Yesterday I referred to RCB as a ‘joke’ meaning they have such a good side with the likes of de kock, de villiers, kohli, McCullum and lots of other world class players. These types of messages are not acceptable," he wrote sharing the screengrab.
