Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper MS Dhoni is happy with the win in  the opening game of IPL 2018. The franchise is back after two years and the return can't get better than this. They secured the game in last over, all thanks to Dwayne Bravo's all round performance.

Decided to chase the target after winning the toss, Chennai never looked achieving the target with a poor batting show by top order. They were chasing 166 and struggled with 118/8 at one stage. However, Bravo kept Chennai's hopes alive with some big hits at crucial stages. He scored 68 off 30 balls to take Chennai home.

Speaking about the victory, Dhoni said that the dressing room was hoping that they margin of defeat was less. "I'm a practical person, so I was hoping in the dressing room that the quantum of defeat shouldn't be too big. The idea was - if there's a chance to win, go for it, but also try to get closer to the target. The way Bravo batted, it was really good to see him take the responsibility. Don't think we batted well as a team. But it's the first game, so we'll take the positives out of it."

CSK got a good support even in Mumbai Indians' home ground, Wankhede. "I think they missed the competition (on Wankhede fans cheering CSK). CSK-MI is one game that people wait to watch. Support has always been there wherever we've played. We're coming back after two years, that's also the reason that people are eager to watch us in action. Overall the spectators have been very good," said MSD.

The man who showed a fight and came back despite injury to ensure Chennai's victory, Kedar Jadhav, has been ruled out for least 2 weeks.

CSK will play their next game against Kolkata Knight Riders at Chepauk on Tuesday.
