KL Rahul, the second most expensive buy of IPL 2018 auction, spoke to Sportstarlive.com about his preparation for the eleventh edition of the cash-rich league.

Talking about the pressure, Rahul said he is focusing on the game and not thinking about pressure as the tournament hasn't started yet. "As of now, I can’t say much about pressure as the tournament hasn’t started, but it is nice to be on top of the list. It is the result of the hard work and all the performances that I have put in over the years, but now it is time to focus on the game and try to win as many games for my team," he said.

Rahul is playing for R Ashwin-led Kings XI Punjab and the stalwart wants to add some aggression to his game. "I will try to bring in some aggression in the team and a positive change," Rahul said.

The Indian opener isn't sure about his keeping role after skipper Ashwin has talked about flexibility in the side.

"For now, I will be keeping is what I know. But you never know, it’s a fast game and you got to be flexible in your head. When you are playing a sport, everything is challenging. You got to accept it and enjoy the challenges."

When asked about changes he has made in his game for this season, Rahul said, "No real changes as such, it is a situational sport, you go in and try to read the situation and see what the team demands of you. So you can’t really prepare for that. You need to ensure you are in a good position and getting the ball well, that’s the preparation you do."

Rahul will be playing for Punjab franchise with his state-mates Mayank Agarwal and Karun Nair.

"It’s amazing that we have come so far. We all started playing junior cricket from U-13 days, we have grown up together, we played a lot of cricket together. We bring in a lot of camaraderie and understanding, hopefully, we can carry that into the field and try to bring in smartness and win as many games as we can. If Karun, Mayank and I play together, it will be helpful and exciting."
