The world's biggest and best T20 league, the Indian Premier League is starting from April 7, 2018. The 2018 season will be the 11th season of IPL and will be held from 7 April to 27 May 2018.
In comparison to other sides, Kings XI Punjab have been an unsuccessful side in the Indian Premier League and over the years have failed to perform consistently.
They started well in the first season of the IPL in 2008 and made it to the playoffs but since then, they managed to qualify for the play-offs only once in 2014, where they lost to Kolkata Knight Riders in the final.
Since 2009 Kings Xi Punjab have finished at the bottom of the points table three times. However, a new season and it brings new hopes. This year Ravichandaran Ashwin will lead them and with star batsmen like Chris Gayle, Yuvraj Singh, Aaron Finch and David Miller, KXIP will hope to script a different ending altogether.
Here is a look at Kings XI Punjab 's history in the IPL so far :-
