IPL 2018 : Upcoming Milestones in Indian Premier League season 11

IPL 11 will start with MI taking on CSK on April 7, 2018 at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

The 11th season of Indian Premier League (IPL 11) will be held from 7 April to 27 May 2018 and total 60 matches will be played.

This season will also see the return of Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals franchise after they served two years suspension. The Indian Premier League has made and broken many record and many milestones were created during the last decade of the tournament.

Now that a new chapter of IPL is starting from April 7, 2018, let's have a look at the upcoming milestones that some players could achieve during the course of the tournament.

5 - Sunil Narine needs 5 more wicket for completing 100 wickets in the IPL and he'll be the first bowler from Kolkata Knight RIders to take 100 wickets in the IPL.

7 - JP Duminy needs 7 more runs to complete 2000 runs in the IPL and he'll be the second player from South Africa, after AB de Villiers (3473) to score 2000 or more runs in the IPL.

11 - Murali Vijay needs 11 more sixes for completing 100 sixes in the Indian Premier League, he has hit 89 sixes in 100 matches so far. And Gautam Gambhir needs 11 sixes to complete 100 sixes in T20 cricket.

MS Dhoni

13 - MS Dhoni needs 13 more runs for completing 3000 runs for Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League, so far he has scored 2987 runs at an average of 39.3 in 129 matches.

14 - Suresh Raina needs to take 14 more catches to become the first fielder in IPL to take 100 catches. He already holds the record of most catches as a fielder in the IPL with 86 catches.

16 - Amit Mishra (134 wickets) needs 16 more wickets to become the second bowler after Lasith Malinga (154 wickets) to take 150 or more wickets in the IPL.

70 - Wickets Yuzvendra Chahal has taken for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL and he needs 3 more wickets to leave current record holder, R Vinay Kumar (72 wickets), behind to become the leading wicket taker for RCB in the IPL.

72 - JP Duminy needs 72 more runs for completing 6000 runs in T20 cricket.

90 - Dismissals for Robin Uthappa as a wicket keeper in the IPL and needs just 10 more to complete 100 IPL dismissals. He will be the third wicket keeper after MS Dhoni (102) and Dinesh Karthik (106) to have 100 or more dismissals in the IPL. Robin Uthappa already holds the record of most stumpings (32) in IPL.

Virat Kohli

149 - Virat Kohli has played 149 matches for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL and in RCB's first match in IPL 2018, he'll become the first player to play 150 matches for a single franchise in the IPL history.

150 - Bhuvneshwar Kumar needs 4 more wickets to completed 150 wickets in T20 cricket.

294 - Shakib-Al-Hasan has taken 294 wickets in T20 cricket and needs 6 more wickets to become the 5th bowler in the world to take 300 or more wickets in T20 cricket.

300 - Rohit Sharma and Suresh Raina need 10 and 17 more sixes respectively to complete 300 sixes in T20 cricket.

2802 - AB de Villiers has scored 2802 runs for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL and needs 198 more runs to become the third player to score 3000 or more runs for this franchise in the IPL. Virat Kohli and Chris Gayle have scored more than 3,000 runs for RCB.

3000 - Yusuf Pathan and Dinesh Karthik need 96 and 97 more runs respectively, for  completing 3000 runs in the Indian Premier League.

4000 - Shakib-Al-Hasan and Faf du Plessis need 20 and 145 more runs respectively for completing 4000 runs in T20 cricket.

8992- Runs scored by Brendon McCullum in T20 cricket and he needs 8 more runs to become second player after Chris Gayle (11068) to score 9000 or more runs in T20 cricket.
