Chennai Super Kings (CSK) has a strong fan base and that is one of the reasons why the 2-year long suspension didn't affect them much. We know their passion for men in yellow and how eagerly they wait for Indian Premier League (IPL) every year just to cheer for the MS Dhoni-led side.

Recently, a video was surfacing on the internet where a huge number of fans gathered to see CSK's practice session. Another video has taken social media by storm in which almost 10,000 fans are watching a practice game of CSK at Chepauk Stadium in Chennai.

The craze of Chennai fans has amazed the newly added players in the squad. English cricketer Sam Billings, who last played for Delhi Daredevils, has joined CSK this year. He praised the amazing support by the fans even during practice sessions.

In a video shared by CSK’s official Twitter account, Billings said, “Vanakkam Chennai. Great to be here. At practice match today, we did two innings, and the support was amazing. 10,000 people in just for a practice game. It’s been an amazing atmosphere, and now I am just really looking forward for the IPL to start. Great to be here, and what a great franchise,” he said.

The 26-year-old also shared a picture on his Instagram account. “Just a normal inter-squad centre wicket practice…. and 10,000 people rock up. amazing!”, Billings post read. The England batsman was bought by CSK for Rs 1 crore at the auction in January 2018.
