Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will be looking forward to turning around their fortunes in IPL 2018 after their last-place finish in the previous year’s edition.

RCB retained captain Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers for IPL 2018; along with the young Sarfaraz Khan, which shocked many fans of the team.

Virat Kohli enjoyed a month-long break after the long South African tour and landed in Bengaluru on Friday, to join the RCB camp at the M. Chinnaswamy stadium. He went straight to the ground, after landing in the city.

The 29-year-old was a picture of concentration during his center-wicket practice session, batting for close to three-quarters of an hour. Kohli scored a record 558 runs at an average of 186.00 from 6 matches in the ODI series against South Africa and RCB will hope for him to conjure his form of IPL 2016 again.

It was a rollercoaster ride for RCB in IPL 2017, as they crashed and burned, to finish at the last spot in points table. This after their IPL 2016 runners-up position had made them a favorite for IPL 2017. Injuries and form issues derailed their campaign early on and it was too late for them to claw their way back.

RCB’s full-fledged training camp will begin from Saturday, while the likes of AB de Villiers, Quinton de Kock, Chris Woakes, Moeen Ali, Colin de Grandhomme, and Tim Southee are only expected to join the squad later as they are with their national sides.
