Having made his international debut back in June 2016, India’s leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal has come a long way. He had a memorable tour of South Africa, taking 16 wickets in 6 ODIs as the Men in Blue clinched the one-day international series with a stunning margin of 5-1. Chahal followed it up with eight wickets in the recently concluded Nidahas T20 tri-series that India won by beating Bangladesh in a thrilling final.

Chahal is now gearing up to stamp his authority in the cash-rich Indian Premier League for Royal Challengers Bangalore. He was retained by the RCB franchise during the IPL auction for INR 6 crores.

Ahead of the 11th edition of IPL, Chahal has posted a video of himself on micro-blogging site Twitter wherein he can be seen shooting at targets. The 27-year-old wrote that Mumbai Indians’ all-rounder, Hardik Pandya will be his number one target in the showpiece event.

“Some target practice before the IPL. Target number one @hardikpandya7 for those comments ????????” Chahal captioned the video.

Chahal has done exceedingly well under the captaincy of Virat Kohli for RCB. He was the second highest wicket-taker in 2016 season and third most wicket-taker last year with 14 scalps. In his five-year IPL career with RCB and Mumbai Indians, Yuzvendra Chahal has claimed 70 wickets thus far.

The 11th edition of IPL will kick off from April 7, with returning franchise Chennai Super Kings taking on the defending champions Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede stadium. RCB will start their campaign against Kolkata Knight Riders on April 8.
