Good news for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) as their star batsman Chris Lynn has stepped into the nets after recovering from a shoulder injury. The injury-prone batsman had to leave the game between Australia and New Zealand at Eden Park after clutching his right shoulder diving in the field.

"Chris dislocated his right shoulder after landing awkwardly on it when fielding the ball," physiotherapist Alex Kountouris had said.

After almost a month, the Kolkata franchise owners might have been pleased hearing the news of Lynn's comeback. Just two weeks ahead of IPL 2018, Lynn was seen swinging his willow in the nets.

"Does that swing of the bat look familiar, #KnightRiders?" tweeted the Kolkata-based franchise on Tuesday, sharing a video of Lynn honing his batting skill while Billy Stanlake and Ben Cutting were the bowlers.

Dinesh Karthik-led KKR will play their opening game against Royal Challengers Bangalore on April 8.

The KKR chief executive officer (CEO) Venky Mysore had also spoken about the injury of their key all-rounder Andre Russell.

"We are expecting Lynn and Russell to play on April 8. They will join the camp,” he said. On Australian pacer Mitchell Starc's sore calf he added, “I think Starc’s report was not necessarily very accurate. He is absolutely fine. It’s a bit unfortunate with the injuries. All the reports we are getting, they are making very good progress. Fingers crossed,” he said.
