Will playing for new IPL franchise change Harbhajan Singh's fate like it did for Ashish Nehra? Well, that depends majorly on his performance.

Harbhajan is looking for a comeback to the Indian team and he wants to start on a fresh note, playing for a new franchise.

Leaving everything behind, Harbhajan has also changed his jersey number for the IPL 2018. Harbhajan, who donned the number 3 jersey in past for a long time, has now decided to start afresh with number 27.

Of course, it won't get wickets for him without his own magic with fingers. But players do believe in superstition and that gives them inner satisfaction. 27 is a special number for the veteran spinner as he got blessed with a daughter on July 27, 2016.

"27.. yes a very special number for me ! ❤ new number new journey .. let the party begin! #whistlepodu," Harbhajan wrote sharing the picture of his jersey on Twitter.

After serving Mumbai Indians for 10 years, the 37-year-old Punjab spinner was sold to CSK for Rs 2 crore in IPL 2018 auction.

Talking about his reunion with Dhoni, the Punjab cricketer had called it a great feeling, “It’s always a great feeling to play along with MS Dhoni. I’m looking forward to working with him again towards a common goal – this time to win the trophy for the Chennai Super Kings."

“He (Dhoni) understands the game really well, is street-smart and thinks ahead of the game and I feel that’s very important for a captain, especially in T20. That’s what makes him a great skipper,” he added.
