11th edition of Indian Premier League (IPL) begins on 7th April with defending champions Mumbai Indians taking on Chennai Super Kings at Wankhede Stadium.
'CSK' is returning to the league after a gap of two years, and the expectations of the fans is huge from the franchise that has won the title twice and have been runners-up on four occasions. MS Dhoni has lead the team in all the 8 seasons and he returns as captain of the team in 2018.
Dhoni had a rather mixed tour of South Africa with the Indian team where his fans got to witness some of his brilliance, especially in the T20I series, but his position in the batting order remained a hot topic of discussion. His wicket-keeping was flawless as usual and he was quite vocal behind the stumps.
Chennai has often brought out the best of Dhoni in the shortest format and all the supporters of 'Thala' will be hoping for the same in 2018, as the 36-year old looks to win his third IPL title as captain. The franchise has some familar names like Suresh Raina, Murali Vijay, Dwayne Bravo while the likes of Shane Watson and Harbhajan Singh will be seen in yellow for the first time.
Dhoni joined his team on Thursday and quickly hit the nets at Chepauk to prepare for the upcoming season. CSK shared the videos on their Twitter:
CSK posted another video of 'Captain Cool' where he can be seen hitting the ball out of sight in his typical swashbuckling style.
