Ahead of the 11th edition of Indian Premier League (IPL), Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya and Jasprit Bumrah have become the talk of the town as the trio indulged in a funny banter with their franchise Mumbai Indians.

On Thursday (March 22), the three-time IPL champions Mumbai Indians posted a tweet on their official Twitter page which read: "Paltan, an exciting update is heading your way. Prepare yourself to welcome new faces in our team. Stay tuned! #CricketMeriJaan".

Out of nowhere, MI skipper Rohit Sharma replied to the tweet, saying: "What do you mean by new faces? Why don’t you guys inform me?"

Following their captain’s amusing reply, the official account of defending IPL champions wrote: "Skipper, let us discuss this on DM."

The chitchat didn’t end there as Rohit asked for his bullets after checking the DM. His post read: "I’ve checked my DMs. I am fine with these new faces and it’s really cool. But where are my bullets?"

After some minutes, MI all-rounder Hardik Pandya also joined the fun when Rohit queried about his hairstyle.

"And what’s wrong with @hardikpandya7’S hair? Why is he on fire?" Sharma wrote.

Later, the MI skipper expressed his desire to know more about his troops by tagging the ace speedster Jasprit Bumrah and power-hitter Kieron Pollard.

“what about @JaspritBumrah93, @KieronPollard55 and the rest of the boys?,” Rohit wrote.

Bumrah comforted his skipper with a positive message that read: “And I am sharpening the toe crusher. #CricketMeriJaan”.

The 11th edition of IPL will kick off from April 7, with Mumbai Indians taking on the returning franchise Chennai Super Kings at the iconic Wankhede stadium.
