With the 11th edition of Indian Premier League (IPL)  just around the corner, all eyes will be on two Punjabi mundas - Harbhajan Singh and Yuvraj Singh. While the veteran off-spinner Harbhajan will be donning the yellow jersey of Chennai Super Kings after representing Mumbai Indians for 10 years, the swashbuckling Yuvraj will be back at Kings XI Punjab – a franchise which had the southpaw as its skipper during the first three seasons of IPL.

During the IPL auction in January, both the players were bought at their base price of INR 2 crores and it clearly indicates that they are no longer considered as match-winners. Yuvi and Bhajji are on the wrong side of their 30s with the former played his last game for India in June 2017 and latter appeared in India colours more than two years ago.

The forthcoming IPL will certainly be a litmus test for both the Punjab stalwarts if they still aspire to represent the country. And ahead of the cash-rich event, Harbhajan has shared a special message for his buddy Yuvraj.

"He's playing once again for Kings XI Punjab which is a very good thing for both Yuvraj and Punjab. I wish Yuvraj all the very best. However, I would like to give my best on the field despite being good friends with Yuvraj," Harbhajan said in an exclusive interview with India TV.

The Turbanator also talked about his training regime for the showpiece event besides expressing his gratitude towards three IPL champions Mumbai Indians.

"With IPL in mind, I'm putting all my hard work on the ground. I'm training hard and putting all my focus on all the three departments be it -batting, bowling and fielding. I'm excited to play for Chennai this year and I'll give my 100 percent on the field. I will like to contribute as much as possible on the field," Harbhajan asserted.

"I'm grateful to Mumbai Indians as I've spent 10 memorable years with the franchise. I'll cherish all the memories I've made with MI. But, I will remain loyal to CSK this time as they have bought me for the new edition of the league and just like any other professional I'll repay my faith towards the team management," he added.
