Legendary Indian batsman and the IPL franchise Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) mentor –VVS Laxman, on Thursday, revealed the reason why the orange army picked the Test specialist wicketkeeper-batsman – Wriddhiman Saha for the upcoming 11the edition of the IPL 2018.

Laxman said that Saha is not only the best keeper but also a terrific run-getter. a quality attracted the franchise to spend a whopping 5 Crore in the IPL Auction 2018 for his services in the tournament.

As per XtraTime, the SRH mentor said, “We have Rashid Khan in the squad. He can bowl flipper and googly in his armory. Wridhiman Saha is now the best Wicket Keeper in India. He already did well in the subcontinent. He keeps well when Jadeja and Ashwin bowl in tests.”

Laxman further added, “Not only he can keep well but also he can bat well in the shortest format of the game. He can play in any position and he is a terrific run-getter.”

The 33-year-old Bengal cricketer has played 104 IPL matches and scored 1557 runs at an average of 25.52 and strike rate of 130.73 in the cash-rich T20 league so far.

Meanwhile, Laxman is confident that India will perform well in their upcoming England tour, where they will play 5 Tests, 5 One Day International and sole T20 International in June 2018.

He signed off by saying, “I think India will perform well in England as Virat Kohli’s team came back strongly after losing the test series 2-1. Earlier, in 2014 India won the first test but lost the series 4-1.”
