Rajasthan Royals (RR) may appoint the mercurial Shane Warne as their coach. The franchise is returning to the IPL fold after a gap of 2 years and they will be looking to make a statement through their performance.

Warne's recent tweet had created a lot of buzz. He wrote, "Looking forward to making an announcement to you guys this week which I’m very excited about & yes it involves the #IPL2018 !"

As per Sportstar's report, a source has revealed that the former Australian cricketer is in talks for the coaching role.

"He is definitely in talks with Royals but the terms and conditions are being discussed upon now. The deal will be sealed once both parties agree to the terms," a source, who is in the know of the development, said, adding that a formal announcement could be expected by Saturday.

Warne played for RR from 2008 to 2011 and led them to the IPL title in the very first edition in 2008. Sources have confirmed that Warne is in talks with the franchise and is seriously considered for the coaching role.
