IPL 2018: Uncapped all-rounders second set – KKR grab U-19 star Shivam Mavi for a whopping sum of 3 crores

All-rounders play a massive role in T20 cricket and they certainly give a good return on the amount spent on them. With auctioneer unveiling the second set of uncapped all-rounders, franchises were tempted to rope in some upcoming stars. This round witnessed some fascinating buys.

Below are some of the uncapped all-rounders’ name who grabbed everyone’s attention in the second round:

Ankit Sharma

Ankit Sharma is a quality left-handed all-rounder, who plays first-class cricket for Madhya Pradesh. He entered into the auction with a base price of INR 20 lakhs and the inaugural IPL champions Rajasthan Royals grabbed him by expending the same amount.

Shivam Mavi

Shivam Mavi, another U-19 player who is representing India in the ongoing World Cup in New Zealand, sold to KKR for a whopping sum of 3 crores. The 19-year-old entered into the auction with a base price of INR 20 lakhs. Mavi is an all-rounder who bowls medium fast and is a handy batsman. No doubt, Shivam Mavi is resourceful and can give good returns.

Abhishek Sharma

The 17-year-old Abhishek Sharma will represent Delhi Daredevils in the next edition of IPL. He had thrown his hat into auction ring with a base price of INR 20 lakhs and DD have secured him for 55 lakhs.

Nathu Singh

Mumbai Indians had spent huge bucks for Nathu Singh in the last IPL auction, but he failed to grab the attention of any franchise in this auction.

Sayan Ghosh, Ishwar Pandey, Swapnil Singh, Bipul Sharma and Pravin Dubey were remained unsold from the uncapped all-rounders’ auction.
