IPL 2018: Evin Lewis finds a team; Washington Sundar, Jaydev Unadkat break banks on Day 2 of the auction

Today is day two of the IPL 2018 auction.

After all the high priced bidding on Day one of the IPL 2018 Auction, the day two of the auction started off with the set of capped batsmen, all-rounders and capped bowlers.

Here are some of the biggest buys and surprise no-sells of the three sets until now:

The next set of players in auction was Capped batsmen and it saw lots of bidding for mainly Indian batsmen.

Known IPL players like Shaun Marsh, Eoin Morgan, Lendl Simmons and Travis Head went unsold in the auction.

Evin Lewis will play for Mumbai Indians

West Indian Evin Lewis was picked up by Mumbai Indians for 3.80 crores.

Saurabh Tiwary also got a bid for 80 lakhs from Mumbai Indians.

Mandeep Singh was bought by RCB for 1.40 crores.

Manoj Tiwary was bought by KXIP for 1 crore.


The next set up was that of All-rounders.

Only Corey Anderson, Rishi Dhawan and Moises Henriques, went unsold in this set.

Ben Cutting

Washington Sundar was bought by RCB for 3.20 crores. They also bought Pawan Negi for 1 crore.

Delhi Daredevils bought Daniel Christian for 1.50 crore, Jayant Yadav for 50 lakhs and Gurkeerat Singh Mann for 75 lakhs.

Mumbai Indians got Ben Cutting for 2.20 crore, while SRH got Mohd Nabi for 1 crore.


The next set was capped bowlers.

The only capped bowler to go unsold was Dale Steyn.

Rajasthan Royals used their RTM card to retain Dhawal Kulkarni for 75 lakhs.

Mohit Sharma was retained by KXIP for 2.40 crores.

Sandeep Sharma was sold to 3 crores to SRH.

R Vinay Kumar was bought by KKR for 1 crore.

Nathan Coulter Nile got 2.20 crore bid and Mohd Siraj got 2.60 crore bid from RCB.

Jaydev Unadkat proved to be the second more expensive player as Rajasthan Royals got him for 11.50 crores.

Kiwi Trent Boult was bought by Delhi Daredevils for 2.20 crore.

Shardul Thakur will join Chennai Super Kings for 2.60 crores.
